Education

  • I am a board-certified psychiatrist.

  • I had the privilege of practicing medicine at Balance Women’s Health for four years prior to establishing my own private practice.

  • I completed a rigorous four-year psychiatry residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

  • I earned my medical degree from OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, culminating 4 years of intensive academic study and practical training. Upon graduation I was awarded OSU-HSC’s Academic Excellence in Behavioral Sciences for academic achievements in the field of psychiatry and behavioral sciences.

  • I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Exercise Science through the University of Oklahoma, which provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the interplay between physical activity, nutrition and overall health.

Sub-Specialized Expertise

My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD and bipolar disorder. In residency I received special training in women’s mental health with a focus on sexual health, pregnancy and postpartum mental health. I continued my education in sexual health through the international society for the study of Women’s sexual health and received specialty training in weight management through Harvard Medical School’s Blackboards Course in Obesity Medicine.

Treatment Philosophy

My health and exercise science bachelors, combined with my osteopathic training in medical school, has influenced my treatment philosophy toward an integrative/holistic approach. My goal is to use evidence-based medicine to collaborate with my patient to incorporate biological, psychological, and spiritual factors into a specialize treatment plan that utilizes nutrition, therapy, and medication.

In my experience, carefully selecting tailored medications can be life changing. My goal is always to help my clients achieve optimal health and wellbeing, and sometimes that may involve helping them reduce or eliminate medication. I am passionate about addressing symptoms at their core to get my clients back to their best self.

Personal Interests

I'm a wife and mother who loves Jesus and aspires to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I’m a lifelong learner who thrives on new experiences. When I'm not spending time with my family, you can find me curled up with a good book or breaking a sweat in a Zumba class. While I'm not much of a chef, I value the importance of eating wholesome, unprocessed foods and believe that food is medicine as well as something to be enjoyed. Whether I'm hitting the open road with my family, or enjoying the local community at festivals, parades, and pumpkin patches, I prioritize creating unforgettable memories with the people I love.

Overall, I'm on a journey to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, and I believe that every experience is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others.

Motivation comes from within — and I’m here to help you activate it.
